Our Story

Australian born in 2024, Serenity Components was created with a simple vision: to help riders hear less bike noise and more of the ride itself β€” tyres schralping berms, birds in the trees, and the calm of a bike running quietly beneath them.

Founded 2024

Where It Started

Serenity Components was founded by Aaron on the Gold Coast, Queensland, from a love of mountain biking, engineering, and the small details that make a bike feel right.

As a rider, especially around bike parks and dirt jumps, I have always cared about how a bike sounds as much as how it performs. A quiet bike feels more composed. It lets you focus on the trail, the take-off, the landing, and the next line ahead, instead of being distracted by rattles, knocks, cable slap, or parts moving around where they should not.

The first idea behind Serenity Components came from a simple but frustrating problem: cable rattle. I wanted a clean way to stop cables from knocking against the frame, but found that many existing clips could unclip, break, or simply did not hold up the way they should. Like many riders, I had used Velcro as a quick fix, but it looked messy and felt like a compromise rather than a proper solution.

That problem became the starting point for Serenity Components: small, practical components designed to make bikes quieter, cleaner, and more enjoyable to ride.

Built From Engineering and Riding

What began as a hobby and university side project has grown into a small independent business focused on practical, rider-driven design.

I am currently studying mechanical engineering, with a strong interest in drafting, research and development, material science, 3D printing, CNC machining, and manufacturing. Serenity Components brings those interests together by identifying real problems riders face, designing simple solutions, testing them, improving them, and making them available to other riders.

Every product starts with a problem, not a gimmick. The goal is to design parts that are simple, useful, and suitable for real-world riding conditions.

I believe well-designed components should be more accessible to every rider, from beginners building confidence through to competitive and professional racers looking for small details that make a difference. Good products should not be limited to riders with the biggest budgets.

Practical Products, Fair Pricing

Most Serenity Components products are focused on reducing unwanted bicycle noise and vibration, but the business also develops other components, tools, and practical accessories for riders.

The aim is to make products that are clean, functional, and easy to understand. No unnecessary complexity. No exaggerated claims. Just practical parts designed to solve specific problems and improve the way a bike feels on the trail.

Sustainability and Community

Sustainability is an important part of Serenity Components. Wherever practical, the business aims to reduce waste, use materials responsibly, improve product life, and consider better ways to manufacture, package, and deliver products.

As the business grows, the goal is to keep improving these processes without losing sight of quality, function, or affordability.

Serenity Components also aims to support the cycling community more broadly. Through customer-directed donations, riders can help support local trail care organisations and the communities that maintain the places we ride.

Why Serenity Components Exists

Serenity Components is a small, independent business, so every product, decision, and improvement is personal. Customer feedback matters. Product performance matters. The riders using these parts are more than just order numbers.

Serenity Components exists to help riders build quieter, cleaner, more dependable bikes β€” so they can ride with more confidence, less distraction, and a little more serenity in every ride.
